The Big Bang Theory has received four nominations for the 2017 People's Choice Awards, including two for its stars Jim Parsons and Kaley Cuoco.
The Big Bang Theory was nominated in the "Favorite Network TV Comedy" category for the eighth consecutive year. The show won the award earlier this year for the fifth time. The other nominees for the award this year are ABC's Black-ish, The CW's Jane the Virgin, ABC's Modern Family and FOX's New Girl.
The Big Bang Theory was also nominated in the wider "Favorite TV Show" category for the third consecutive time since the award's inception. The Big Bang Theory won the award in both 2016 and 2015. This year's nominees are ABC's Grey's Anatomy, Starz' Outlander, Netflix's Stranger Things, and AMC's The Walking Dead.
Jim Parsons is up for the "Favorite Comedic TV Actor" award for the eighth consecutive year. Parsons won the award earlier this year for the first time. The other nominees this year are Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Andy Samberg, black-ish's Anthony Anderson, The Odd Couple's Matthew Perry, and Last Man Standing's Tim Allen.
Kaley Cuoco, who has twice hosted the live People's Choice Award ceremony, is nominated in the "Favorite Comedic TV Actress" category for the sixth year running. Cuoco won the award in 2015 and 2014. The other nominees this year are Mom's Anna Farris, Jane the Virgin's Gina Rodriguez, Modern Family's Sofia Vergara and New Girl's Zoeey Deschanel.
